About Plums

Plums the Clown is also known as Angie Meltsner. Angie started taking modern clowning classes on a whim in 2025 and realized she could combine her new performance skills with her childhood interests of balloon twisting, face painting, and complete and total silliness to live a life (and help others live theirs!) more full of play, joy and laughter. Along with continuing her clowning education (and clown college in 2026!), she is working on juggling and magic tricks to help Plums become even more of a delightful entertainer!

When she’s not Plums, Angie runs her own consumer insights and trends research business. She is originally from Michigan but has been in the Boston area since 2010. She is lucky to have a live-in mini assistant clown and face paint model (her daughter!) to remind her to find the fun and games in every moment of every day.

As Plums the Clown, Angie is fully insured and CORI’ed. She uses only high quality paints specifically for face painting and high quality latex balloons specifically for balloon twisting. She is a member of the World Clown Association and Clowns of America International.
